Individual Sessions
Psychotherapy is a process of helping individuals understand what’s getting in the way of living the life they want. There are often forces out of one’s awareness that need to be uncovered and psychotherapy provides a safe, non-judgmental environment to explore these issues. People often want to know how long therapy takes and how often they should come. There is no set answer as it depends on many factors. Typically, therapy sessions are scheduled once a week and I generally ask that you make a 6-month commitment. Yet again, the amount of time spent in therapy depends largely on why you are coming. Some may need only a few sessions, while others need and want to explore deeper issues which takes longer. Feel free to ask questions and discuss this in your first session.
I also work with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief or trauma. Please contact me for session prices.

When you decide to work with me, please download the client forms. Complete the forms and bring them to your first session.
Couples Sessions
Imago Relationship Therapy was developed by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D and his wife Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D. It is a unique approach to helping couples develop a conscious relationship.

I think that couples’ therapy should be more than just a place to vent your frustrations about each other. I provide a safe, structured format to learn specific skills. I'll give you tools that you can begin to put into practice the minute you step outside of my office.

Many couples say that learning these skills gave them the first glimmer of hope in their ability to create a better relationship.
The sooner you begin this work, the faster you'll feel more hopeful and relieved.

Virtual Sessions
There are many benefits to Virtual Counseling and Coaching sessions:
  •   Times are more flexible.
  •   You can have sessions from home or when you're traveling.
  •   There's no need to drive to my office, especially in bad weather.
  •   You can still have sessions when you're unable to leave the house due to injury or other physical challenges.
I use an encrypted and HIPAA protected system called VSee for our video sessions.
Click the Button from the device you will be using for our Virtual sessions. You will receive a free VSee account and we will be added to each other's address books. Please set-up your User Name/Password now so you can test the system. I will contact you at our scheduled session time.
When you decide to work with me, please download the client forms (above). Complete the forms and send them to me before your first session.
Please be aware that if you are experiencing a life threatening emergency, or are imminently suicidal, Virtual Counseling is not appropriate for you. You should go immediately to your nearest emergency room, or call 9-1-1.

Another potential limitation of Virtual Counseling is internet connectivity. It is entirely possible that we could be at a critical point in our counseling session, and lose connection. If this happens, I will call back as soon as possible. And, again, if you are in severe crisis or imminently suicidal, you should follow the instructions above.
